What is AIPA?

The „Alföldi Iparfejlesztési Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft.” (stands for Great Hungarian Plain Industry Development Non-profit Public Benefit Ltd.) is acting as a coordinator, in a form of a non-profit, public utility company.

The owners of AIPA are:

• City Government of Kecskemét through the Creative Knowledgebase Foundation 51%
• Kecskemét College – 25%
• Benture Development Foundation, Bács-Kiskun County  – 8 százalékban
• Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bács-Kiskun County – 8 százalékban
• The National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers – 8 százalékban
   

AIPA, as a project company is responsible for the smooth operation of the working groups and coordinating bodies.

Tasks:

Working groups:

To transform the project ideas belonging to the working group’s competence to projects based on the expectations and demands of the coordinating bodies with the aim to comply with the pre-defined filter aspect-scheme.

Coordinating bodies:

To approve the projects filtered through the aspect-scheme, to define such aspect-schemes, and to define the needs and expectations of the stakeholders.

Why was AIPA born?

With Daimler-Benz (Mercedes) choosing Kecskemét for its new car manufacturing factory, there is a great opportunity for a comprehensive “Economic Development Program” to be realized. Exploiting the society’s positive attitude this program - which is not without history (AKKC 2004 – In Hungarian) - can be made a success. Mercedes-Benz can act as a catalyst in this process, and helps to develop a more people friendly region and town.

The conduction of the “Economy Development Program” and the management of the cluster(s) are the main tasks of AIPA.
